Attention customers across the border! At TK Clothing, We're dedicated to making your shopping experience as seamless as possible, from the moment you click "add to cart" to the moment your package arrives at your door. I know that international shipping can sometimes feel complicated, especially with concerns about extra fees and import duties. I want to put your mind at ease and let you know that I've got you covered.

My Commitment to CUSMA Compliance

As a proudly Canadian maker, the vast majority of my apparel is designed and made right here in Canada by me. This is something I truly believe in—it allows me to put a personal touch on every item and ensures the high-quality standards you've come to expect from my work.

Because most of my products are handcrafted in Canada, they are fully compliant with the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), also known as the USMCA in the United States. This trade agreement allows for the duty-free import of qualifying goods between our two countries. For you, this means that for most of my collections, you should not be charged any extra duties at the time of import.

What I Do to Ensure a Smooth Journey

Your peace of mind is my priority, and I go the extra mile to ensure your order crosses the border without any issues.

For every single shipment I send to my U.S. customers, I take on the extra work of including a CUSMA Certification of Origin. This is a special document that confirms that your merino apparel and other Canadian-made items were manufactured here and are eligible for duty-free entry. This documentation helps customs officials streamline the process, ensuring your package doesn’t get held up.

I do everything I can to make sure this is a smooth process for you. I am meticulous about my documentation so that you can simply enjoy your new TK Clothing items without the headache of unexpected fees.

A Note on a Few Exceptions

While most of my items are made right here at home, I believe in being fully transparent with you. A few select items, like my cozy socks and my patch kits, are exceptions to this.

When it comes to my patch kits, I assemble them right here in Canada. However, the fabric used in the kits is sourced abroad - in fact you choose the fabric! While I technically "make" the kits by assembling them, the fabric doesn't undergo enough of a change to be considered "Made in Canada" for labeling purposes. Because of this, and the fact that my socks are not manufactured here, these few products may have different country of origin markings on their labels, and may get charged duty.

And while I do everything in my power to provide the correct documentation, I know that border agencies can occasionally misclassify a product. In the rare event that your shipment is incorrectly charged a duty, rest assured that the Certification of Origin I provided with your shipment is the document you will need to resolve it. Simply present this certificate to the customs agency to prove the goods' CUSMA eligibility.

I am so grateful for your continued support from across the border. Thank you for choosing to shop with me—I am doing everything I can to make your experience as wonderful as possible!
